When your child is born, you can feel like you have all the time in the world. There are 936 weeks from when a child is born until he will graduate high school. Why is this number so important? Because you can’t make the weeks count, if you don’t count your weeks.
“Teach me to number my days, that I may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12
Every week is important, but not all weeks are created the same. The way a child thinks and reasons is totally different in a week at age 2 than it is at a week during their life at age 15. The way your child learns about God at age 5 is completely different from what they can comprehend at age 9. But, every week is important to the development of who your child is emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.
These collections of weeks can be broken out into phases. What is a phase? A phase as a timeframe in a kid’s life when you can leverage distinctive opportunities to influence a kid’s future.
Grace Hill wants to come alongside you in your parenting journey to help navigate the phases of preschool, elementary, middle school and high school. We want to see you through those sleepless nights with your baby, the day your child prays to receive Christ, the awkwardness of adolescence, the day your child leaves for college and everything else in between. As parents and leaders we have to understand what is changing in our child’s life so we can influence the life of a child today in order to impact their tomorrow.
Our weeks can pass so quickly, and before you know it a phase has come and gone.
But always remember - It’s just a phase, so don't miss it.
