GRACE HILL KIDS TEAM:

Lead Small Group Leader
This position is supervised by: Family Director
The goal of this position: The lead small group leader connects relationally with preschoolers and elementary kids to teach them a basic spiritual foundation. They also partner with parents to provide help and support in equipping them to lead their children spiritually in their home. 

Job:  

  • start and end class on time
  • set up activities before children arrive
  • review weekly curriculum before class
  • responsible for connecting relationally with kids through the activities in the class as well as intermittently outside of Sunday morning
  • responsible for connecting relationally with parents at drop off and pick up as well as intermittently outside Sunday morning
  • responsible for training and overseeing assistant small group leaders in class

Time:
This position requires one to two hours of prep time during the week and up to 2 hours of serving time on Sunday morning. You are committing to faithfully fulfill this position for 1 year. We ask that our lead small group leaders serve on a month on/month off rotation.

Training:
Training will be provided through one on one meetings, quarterly feedback sessions, articles on the Grace Hill Kids volunteer website and yearly training sessions/conferences.

Special qualifications or unique skills this position requires:

  • You must have served as a small group leader at least one year.
  • You must be teachable.
  • You must be faithful in church and past volunteering positions.
  • You must be in agreement with the teachings and policies of our church.
  • You must have a servant’s heart.
  • You must feel at ease connecting to both adults and children.
  • You must be responsible.
  • You must be patient.
  • You must know how to give appropriate redirection if you have a child misbehave.

Assistant Small Group Leader
This position is supervised by: Family Director
The goal of this position: The assistant small group leader connects relationally with 8 to 10 preschoolers to teach them a basic spiritual foundation. They also partner with parents to provide help and support in equipping them to lead their children spiritually in their home. 

Job:  

  • start and end class on time

  • responsible for connecting relationally with kids through the activities in the class as well as intermittently outside of Sunday morning

Substitute Small Group Leader
This position is supervised by: Family Director
The goal of this position: A substitute small group leader connects relationally with 8 to 10 preschoolers to teach them a basic spiritual foundation. They also partner with parents to provide help and support in equipping them to lead their children spiritually in their home. 

Job:  

  • start and end class on time
  • review weekly curriculum before class
  • responsible for connecting relationally with kids during activities on Sunday morning
  • responsible for connecting relationally with parents at drop off and pick up

Time:
This position requires the willingness to be a substitute at least one to two times per month. When substituting, one to two hours of prep time during the week and up to 2 hours of serving time on Sunday morning is needed. You are committing to faithfully fulfill this position for 1 year.

Training:
Training will be provided through one on one meetings, quarterly feedback sessions, articles on the Grace Hill Kids volunteer website and yearly training sessions/conferences.

Large Group Worship Leader
This position is supervised by: Family Director
The goal of this position: A Large Group Worship Leader is responsible for leading kids, with energy and enthusiasm, to worship God.

Job:  

  • start and end large group on time
  • learn lyrics and motions to worship songs
  • responsible for connecting relationally with kids through song and motions
  • responsible for connecting the worship to the theme and Bible Story for the week for the kids
  • responsible for reviewing the Bible Verse in a fun, memorable way

Time:
One to two hours of prep time during the week and up to 20 minutes of serving time on Sunday morning is needed. You are committing to to lead worship for preschool or elementary kids. You are committing to faithfully fulfill this position for 1 year. We prefer this position to serve on a month on/month off rotation.

Training will be provided through one on one meetings, quarterly feedback sessions, articles on the Grace Hill Kids volunteer website and yearly training sessions/conferences.

Service Coordinator
This position is supervised by: Family Director
The goal of this position: The service coordinator provides leadership and help to the small group leaders during the service and oversees the Front Desk Coordinator.

Job:  

  • oversee the front desk coordinators and greeters
  • provide leadership to the small group leaders and large group leaders
  • oversee bathroom policies
  • collect rosters and do a classroom count
  • oversee and help in emergency situations
  • responsible for making sure classrooms are properly setup
  • oversee and assist in the registration process for regular attendees and first time visitors
  • see that all forms and supplies are ready before children and families arrive for the service

Time:
You are committing to serve as the service coordinator. This requires serving between one to two hours on a Sunday morning. You are committing to faithfully fulfill this position for 1 year. 

Training:
Training will be provided through one on one meetings, quarterly feedback sessions, articles on the Grace Hill Kids volunteer website and yearly training sessions/conferences. You will receive training on the computer and registration process.

Front Desk Coordinator
This position is supervised by: Service Coordinator
The goal of this position: The front desk coordinator is responsible for greeting preschool and elementary families and assisting them in the check-in process. They are also responsible for guest’s first impression by greeting new families and guiding them through the registration and check-in process to make them feel welcomed and informed.

Job:  

  • oversee and assist in the registration process for regular attendees and first time visitors
  • see that all forms and supplies are ready before children and families arrive for the service
  • communicate all needs, questions, and/or problems concerning registration to the service coordinator

Time:
You are committing to serve as the front desk coordinator. This requires serving between 30 minutes to an hour on a Sunday morning. You are committing to faithfully fulfill this position for 1 year.

Training:
Training will be provided through one on one meetings, quarterly feedback sessions, articles on the Grace Hill Kids volunteer website and yearly training sessions/conferences. You will receive training on the computer and registration process.

This position is supervised by:  Family Director
The goal of this position: A large group storyteller communicates the Bible Story and Bottom Line in a fun, exciting way through props and storytelling.

Job:  

  • study the Bible Story for the week
  • responsible for connecting relationally with preschoolers through the Bible Story
  • responsible for telling the Bible Story in an age-appropriate, fun way to preschoolers 

Time:
Two or three hours of prep time during the week and up to 20 minutes of serving time on Sunday morning is needed. You are committing to storytell to preschoolers or elementary aged kids.

Training:
Training will be provided through one on one meetings, quarterly feedback sessions, articles on the Grace Hill Kids volunteer website and yearly training sessions/conferences.

The goal of this position: A large group tech coordinator enhances the Bible Story and worship through sound, lights and video to create a distraction-free environment.

Job:  

  • utilize sound, video and lights to produce the large group environment
  • build the presentation for large group

Time:
One hour of prep time during the week and up to 20 minutes of serving time on Sunday morning is needed. You are committing to faithfully fulfill this position for 1 year.

Training:
Training will be provided through one on one meetings, quarterly feedback sessions, articles on the Grace Hill Kids volunteer website and yearly training sessions/conferences. Training will be provided on sound, lights and video.

Embrace Event Team
This position is supervised by: Family Director
The goal of this position: The Embrace Event Team helps to prepare and execute the Embrace event.

Job:  

  • help in preparation for Embrace
  • help facilitate the Embrace event 

Time:
One to four hours of prep time leading up to a First Steps event. Up to 6 hours of serving time on the event day. You are committing to faithfully fulfill this position for the needed Embrace events scheduled.

Training:
Training will be provided through one on one meetings, quarterly feedback sessions, articles on the Grace Hill Kids volunteer website and yearly training sessions/conferences.

Special Events Team
This position is supervised by: Family Director
The goal of this position: The Special Events Team helps to prepare and execute the any special events for the preschool.

Job:  

  • help in preparation for special events
  • help facilitate special events

Time:
One to four hours of prep time leading up to a special event. Up to 6 hours of serving time on the event day. You are committing to faithfully fulfill this position for a specific event.

Training:
Training will be provided through one on one meetings, quarterly feedback sessions, articles on the Grace Hill Kids volunteer website and yearly training sessions/conferences.

Student Leader
