WE WANT TO MAKE A LASTING IMPACT!
God has given us a big vision as a church. Here’s a picture of where we are headed as a church family in the coming years. You will also find 3 ways you can be involved in stepping into this vision today!
HOW CAN I BE INVOVLED?
We expect every person at Grace Hill to be fully engaged in the life our this church. Right now, there are three practical ways you can get involved right now!
YOU CAN SERVE!
We want everyone at Grace Hill to get involved on a serving team. This is the reason we have two services. You can serve an hour and worship an hour. Let’s be clear. Part of going deep in your faith is becoming more like Jesus, and you are never more like Jesus than when you are serving.
YOU CAN GIVE!
WE EMBRACE IRRATIONAL GENEROSITY. We know it changes lives—ours and the people we’re reaching. At Grace Hill, taking action on your generosity is simple. More financial resources mean more lives impacted with the hope of Jesus!
YOU CAN SHARE!
We want to challenge YOU to begin to think through the impact that could be had if “each one, would reach one” with the hope of Jesus. You know one person who doesn’t know Jesus, they need you to show them the hope in Jesus you have. Send them a message, a text, call them, share something on social media and see what God could do through you by extending a simple invitation to experience the love and hope that comes from Jesus.
Here’s a little more about who we are and the heart behind our vision as a church.
1) WE ARE COMMITTED TO OUR MISSION AND OUR VISION
Our mission as a church is simply the great commission, restated. We help people find and follow Jesus. The mission matters most. If we do incredible events, if we have amazing facilities and if we have the best of anything a church could offer, but we aren’t helping people find and follow Jesus, we have failed as a church. Everything that comes after this is all an extension of helping people find and follow Jesus. And the vision God has given us as a church, to make a lasting impact on a generation we may not see, is the heart and passion behind the mission.
2) WE ARE AN INTENTIONAL CHURCH
No matter what size church we become, whether we are 150, 350 or 1000, we are committed to a few simple things and doing them really well. We can’t and shouldn’t say yes to every good idea or program that comes along. We have to reserve the “yeses” we say to the intentional things that move the mission and vision forward.
This means, we are fully committed to creating and investing in our Sunday Worship Services.
We are deeply committed to the Next Generation in everything we do. They are the future of the church and they are the church right now.
We are committed to getting everyone engaged on a serving team. No matter what your giftedness is, you have a place here.
We are committed to helping adults get connected to others and connected to God in LifeGroups. This makes your church feel like family.
We are fully committed to reaching our community through school partnerships. This is simply one of the greatest opportunities for us and helps us carry the hope we have in Jesus into our community.
We will always be committed to loving people really well.
3) WE ARE EXPECTING GROWTH
Not only must we be an intentional church, we must be a growing church. There are all shapes and sizes to churches in scripture. We all know this, healthy things grow. They grow in health and size. Our reality is that for many people, we would be considered smaller in size. We have roughly 350 people (kids, students and adults) that call GHC their home church, but that shouldn’t keep us from having a big vision or from the confidence we have in God that He has called us to do and accomplish great things for Him.
This means we must reach MORE people than we currently are reaching. Remember, this isn’t about cheeks in the seat, empty seats represent empty lives. And those empty chairs should break your heart. That is the mission and vision of our church.
