Christmas at Grace Hill
This season is one of the most meaningful times for our church, and if you’re exploring Grace Hill for the first time, we would love to help you feel at home. Below you’ll find a few simple ways to connect, serve, and gather with us as we move toward Christmas.
Teaching Series
The season of Advent meets us in the tension between longing and hope, between the darkness of our world and the light that refuses to be extinguished. For many of us, this year feels heavy. The headlines, the pace, the uncertainty, it’s easy to wonder where God is in all of it.
But the story of Advent reminds us that God’s presence isn’t hidden, even when it feels like everything else is. Each week, we’ll listen again to the words of Isaiah, promises that pierce through despair and point us toward the quiet hope of Christ’s coming:
- Peace isn’t hidden, even in a world at war. (Isaiah 2)
- Life isn’t hidden, even in what looks dead. (Isaiah 11)
- Joy isn’t hidden, even in the desert. (Isaiah 35)
- God isn’t hidden, even in the smallest, most ordinary places. (Isaiah 7)
As we move toward Christmas, we’ll remember that Advent is not just about waiting for light to return, it’s about recognizing that light has already come, and it’s still shining. At Grace Hill, we’ll walk through this season with honesty and hope. While the lights and decorations around the Square will be beautiful, inside our sanctuary, the light will grow week by week, as we await the One who came to dwell with us, and still does.
Town Square Tree Lighting: November 25
This is one of the biggest community events of the year, and we love being part of it! We’ll be serving coffee, popcorn, and hot chocolate, hosting a Christmas movie, and offering a bracelet-making station for families. Thousands will gather on the Square, so it’s a great chance to serve, share, and spread joy with our neighbors.
Blue Christmas Service: December 7 at 5pm
Christmas can be a tender time for many. Our Blue Christmas service is a space for reflection, comfort, and hope for those walking through loss, change, or difficulty. We’ll gather in the Sanctuary on the Square for quiet worship, scripture, and prayer. Childcare will be available (please register your kids).
Christmas Eve (Eve): December 23 at 6pm
Join us for a candlelit night of Scripture and classic Christmas carols as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Whether you’re exploring faith or looking for a church home, this is a beautiful moment to experience the heart of Grace Hill.
